I would particularly like to use the display part of this to present the frame buffer to the internet. If that can be done sooner by deferring the mouse and keyboard for a while then I think it is worth it. Mark.

I need a vnc client. The goal is: the Rpi/Ultibo can display a picture from Windows PC connected to it. If there is a server in Pascal, then the client should be also doable; time to learn.

Would RDP be easier than VNC? At least from the server Windows PC side.

I have found it simpler to get a RDP client on a Linux box to talk to the native RDP on the Windows server.

I have downloaded a beta version of a VNC server at https://github.com/pjde-ultibo/VNC

Needs some considerations around making it thread safe and would be good to implement ZLIB encoding.

Even though rdp is built in to the windows side, I vote for getting the vnc system working first. Mark.

How soon do you need it? If you can wait until the server side is mature I'm sure that a client implementation will not be far behind. Mark.

Thanks! I'm not at my lab but I am trying it out on qemu in the cloud. Ultibo receives two vnc control packets then activity stops. I'll post my qemu updates and test scripts. Mark.

45.79.198.140::5990 is the qemu vnc
45.79.198.140::5890 is the ultibo vnc

You can see the log on the first one when you try to use the second one. Next step is to check that 3.3 version is what is needed.

Using RealVNC Viewer on a tablet. Will try a desktop viewer tomorrow. Mark.

p.s. updates are at https://github.com/markfirmware/VNC/com ... 87e8cbfa6e
