is tvservice utility available in Ultibo?

Postby philk » Sat Jun 29, 2019 5:03 pm

Hello, is the "tvservice" utility available in Ultibo? Alternatively, is there some other way to query a connected HDMI display from Ultibo to get a list of all the resolution/fps modes that it accepts?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Phil, welcome to Ultibo.

The tvservice is not one that we have tested but in the same way that other services like gencmd and cec are known to work it should also be available.

The tvservice application would either need to be ported to Free Pascal or the C code compiled to run under Ultibo but it isn't very large and doesn't seem to use anything other than the standard features.

We don't have much time available at the moment to try this but if you are interested in having a go at getting it working we are more than happy to help with information and answers.

Thank you for the link and the welcome. I will take a look to see if it's perhaps within my abilities to port it.

Best Regards,
Phil
