cmdline.txt

Postby rvanspaa » Sun Jun 16, 2019 3:40 am

Hi,

I can get neither file logging nor current time zone set correctly. What am I doing wrong, or have I left out? (Filesystem unit is included).

My current cmdline.txt file looks like this:_

dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=serial0,115200 console=tty1 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait SHELL_UPDATE_HTTP_SERVER=192.168.4.4 TIMEZONE_DEFAULT_NAME=Australian_Eastern_Standard_Time FILESYS_LOGGING_FILE=C:\logging.txt

Code: Select all

TIMEZONE_DEFAULT_NAME=Australian_Eastern_Standard_Time

Hi,

This one is simple enough, from the Timezone unit it looks like you need to use:

Code: Select all

TIMEZONE_DEFAULT_NAME=AUS_Eastern_Standard_Time

These names are taken from the Windows settings to make it somewhat standard.

My first guess is that in addition to setting the logging file you also need to enable the filesystem logging device by calling LoggingDeviceSetDefault, have a look at this post (which is from the thread in the Forum Quick Reference) that describes a very similar situation.

Let us know if this doesn't help and we'll see what else we can suggest.

Many thanks, both now working. :)
