Re: tinker Board

I really hope the ultibo team would reconsider. What makes Ultibo so cool is that its 100% pascal. Other languages are over-represented as is. If Ultibo would cover Odroid XU4 and Tinkerboard, it would represent one of the best systems for embedded / single app development out there. Setup a kicksta...

Re: Usable operatingsystem with ultibo, threading + pe format?

Back in the day we had a dos extender that was pretty amazing (WDOSX). It implemented parts of WinAPI, including dll mapping, which was pretty cool for some embedded projects i did. Sadly that is ancient by todays standard, but inspiring non-the-less. Yes I am aware of the technical challenge of thi...

Usable operatingsystem with ultibo, threading + pe format?

First, I love this project more and more - completely blown away by the sheer quality of Ultibo! I was initially sceptical due to the lack of GPU support - but seeing how you have not only delivered this, but the way you did it - is just awesome! My question has to do with making a suitable operatin...

Could this be a better platform than the PI?

Hi guys! Came across this little gem and thought you guys would find it interesting: http://www.96boards.org/product/hikey960/ . Its a bit pricey compared to the low-cost PI, but if I understand correctly - it has a Mali GPU which (again, from what I hear) has open source drivers and is well documen...

Re: Webkit on ultibo?

The nice thing is that we decide what it contains or not. And when it comes to rendering UI's, video is not on top of my list to be honest. Right now I have a fully working desktop with all the widgets in place. And no, im not about to code a html renderer by hand. I probably could, but C is faster ...

Re: Webkit on ultibo?

I missed the newpost about C support, so I guess the answere is yes.

But I cant find any documentation or examples? I have looked in the wiki and on the github repo?
If i can learn how to interface with c/c++ libs, then hopefully i can do some interesting wrappers for the community :)

Webkit on ultibo?

Many of todays developers might remember the old Amiga computer from the 80's and 90's? Well, long story short - im doing a remake in html5/javascript. Its actually a full re-make with a js-compiled version of UAE (unix amiga emulator) to execute real-life amiga applications. A buddy of mine Gunnar ...

Re: My plans for Ultibo, bytecode and v8 based platform

You dont understand what i mean gavin. Smart pascal Compiles to javascript. So you get to use classes, true inheritance and lcl/vcl like visual rtl. You also have true binary streams, websockets and basically delphi for both the browser and server. And in most cases it outperforms delphi code, so ll...

Re: My plans for Ultibo, bytecode and v8 based platform

No, nodejs is not running on ultibo. I have been asking if we could link the v8 (node) engine into ultibo, or perhaps go for the chrome engine - which can also be statically linked into the ultibo codebase. That way we could render html to the framebuffer, and also execute javascript at very high sp...
