Re: CEC-HDMI Control TV/Receive TV Remote controller presses

"Old-fashioned" is a compliment. Okay, missed that one. Do these linker errors suggest a solution or do I need to get more info? Yes, there are changes to the Ultibo target in FPC to support C constructors and destructors (yes C has constructors and destructors) so you need to update your...

Re: Boot partition to be always C:

Is there any workaround? Add some delay to USB subsystem so it will start somewhat later than SD card or something like this? The solution for this will revolve around being able to set parameters to say something like harddisk0\partition1=C: either from the command line or as part of a startup con...

Re: Beetroot is here and so is VideoCore IV

I compiled HelloVG. It compiles without errors, but Lazarus cannot find VGShapes (CodeTools generates error messages) . If the application compiles without error but Lazarus and CodeTools complain they cannot find the VGShapes file to show you the source then you probably need to do: Tools, Rescan ...

Re: ultibo-qemu-cloud-starter

With Beetroot, I have to remove/rename C:\Ultibo\Core\tools\QEMULauncher.ini in order for my custom Ultima\Bin\QEMULauncher.ini to be used by QEMULauncher.exe my custom Ultima\Bin\QEMULauncher.ini does not define any specific Path= in order to use the default C:\Ultibo\Core\qemu\qemu-system-arm.exe...

Re: CEC-HDMI Control TV/Receive TV Remote controller presses

So an ultibo kernel is linked with an old-fashioned (static) library called userland. Far from being "old fashioned" this it the standard way things work, the userland libraries are compiled as a set of static libraries (52 of them in total) which can be linked to an application in order ...

Re: OpenWF/Web GL/ OpenGL ES 3+

Ran across the word OpenWF in some OpenVG googling, finally got around to finding out what it is. While the OpenWF libraries are built and included with Userland it seems from this post that it is not supported on the Pi and has never really been used. Anyone wanting to do window management using t...

Re: CEC-HDMI Control TV/Receive TV Remote controller presses

Has there been any progress in any area that might apply to cec? Yes, we'll have more to say shortly. Okay, so I'm sure you saw the commit announcement from yesterday to say that Ultibo now includes VC4 support, one element of that support is the CEC service which (along with a number of other serv...

Re: Beetroot is here and so is VideoCore IV

How long did this take? Reading and research started last year but the actual porting and coding only took just over 40 days of work spread over several months and that time includes implementing pThreads, condition variables and some other needed items as well. One question, can you point to any n...

Re: Beetroot is here and so is VideoCore IV

There IS a "variants" unit in /home/pi/ultibo/core/fpc/source/packages/rtl-objpas/src/inc Lazarus will look in that folder for the variants.pp file but for FPC to find it when compiling you will need to make sure that variants.o and variants.ppu exist in the folder: /home/pi/ultibo/core/f...

Yes, definitely needs the compiler rebuilt as well since there are changes to the linker process. That is usually true whenever there is a new installer release.
