Re: OpenGL

Some of the stuff I do on Pi's has dial/gauges. This is my first OpenVG program ever ;) I will not embarrass myself by telling you how long it took to do something similar in Netbeans/JavaFX  Laz/FPC/Ultibo is fast to develop with, two hours with interruptions  . Time to rest the brain an...

Re: OpenWF/Web GL/ OpenGL ES 3+

Yep probably need to have another post for Dispmanx as indications are even though it is older it will be supported by RPF.
And probably another for EGL?
This OpenVG stuff is more flexible than I thought, it will keep me busy for months.

Re: OpenWF/Web GL/ OpenGL ES 3+

Thanks for the links Garry. I had forgotten AndrewfromMelbourne, looks like he has been busy. I'm now spending more time on the Graphics forums than baremetal these days, your fault  Also checking to see if any Pascal Game engines can be ported, there are a few that look doable. I already play ...

OpenWF/Web GL/ OpenGL ES 3+

Ran across the word OpenWF in some OpenVG googling, finally got around to finding out what it is. https://www.khronos.org/assets/uploads/developers/library/overview/openwf-overview.pdf Sort of a low cost X11? pik33's Windowing Manager? Does not look like it is Active, so pointless or useful? Is ther...

Re: Beetroot is here and so is VideoCore IV

PXL Plasma is fiunky. 60fps
Get an error when trying PXL.Providers.Auto

V4L2 video/image capture using onboard and USB cameras.

Anyone tested this? Or know how?

Re: Beetroot is here and so is VideoCore IV

Forgot about PXL, with acceleration it will be very useful :D
Have you bench marked the speed difference?

Is there a way to use the USB port on a Zero in OTG mode yet?
Once I load the kernel.img via USB boot I want to be able to switch it to comms.

Vulkan

Future reference at this stage, so don't panic Garry. Take a break for a week or so ;) Was googling OpenVG and found this https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=PasVulkan-Vulkan--Pascal-Bind https://github.com/BeRo1985/pasvulkan Eric Anholt did say something about Vulkan on the VC5?...

Re: Latest commits (Ultibo core 2.0.029)

Been trying most of the other examples. That Zero MP3 idea just became a video player too, time to rip the old faulty CD player out of the car? Hmm, does this mean the Free Pascal LCL library stuff just got one giant step closer. SDL next? My head hurts, it's not even xmas or my birthday - a giant p...

Re: Latest commits (Ultibo core 2.0.029)

Just tried teapot example, it works :D
I guess that slideshow project just got a boost, can do all sorts of stuff now.
Any of those hellovc examples use the HVS?
Going take me sometime to get used to this release

Re: Latest commits (Ultibo core 2.0.029)

Nice clean install on Linux under Wine. USB booting a Zero hellotiger example works as it does not requires extra files on a C drive. :D Probably going to need modified a rpiboot like burtyb's to make ram drive and load files via USB onto it? Ok not the fastest boot camera, Camera LED stays on for a...
