Neural Networks

Been going though the Laz/fpc forum, playing catchup to this Free Pascal stuff . Found an interesting post http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,39049.msg266776.html#msg266776 Made a new project, added "uses uconvolutionneuralnetwork", found the missing UBit file and it compi...

Re: Split screen HDMI mode

The config.txt file is plain text but if you are editing it on Windows be aware the line endings should be in Unix format (not in DOS/Windows format). I use Geany as my default editor in Windows/Linux/Raspbian, so I never noticed this issue. Geany also makes a reasonable IDE for compiling, like FPC...

Re: Split screen HDMI mode

Buried in the Screenshot post is a bit on the config.txt options for the framebuffer. https://ultibo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=534&hilit=screenshot&start=20 These are basically commands to start.elf which sets up the VC4 GPU configuration. A lot of this documentation will be on the ...

Re: New VR project

Hi John, I have been collecting elcheapo VR head sets, if two can be called a collection ;) Mainly just for the lenses, these are the ones you stick smart phones in, which I don't have anyway  A number of ways to do it with Pi's and Ultibo. Single big screen, 5-6" ie the Adafruit 5" ...

Re: Adding System Calls (usage)

Having relatively small systems which a single person can understand in their entirety is the basis for coherently moving forward. Considering Ultibo is mostly one person's effort there is a good chance another person could understand all of it ;) Mind you, understanding FPC/Laz is a bigger ask, lu...

Re: Camera, SMI, JPEG

Not sure what happened to the doc, but Gert's git is still there. https://github.com/fenlogic/IDE_trial Hopefully I saved the PDF to somewhere I can find it again. :? Gert also is maybe suggesting there is stuff around from pre BCM 2707 days? https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=197875...

Re: Camera, SMI, JPEG

Hi Garry,
What about adding some more sections in the Hardware Wiki SMI-LCD, SMI-NAND, SMI-IDE.
Not sure if there are any more useful SMI modes but I have done SMI-Camera before using parallel data sensors.
SMI-ADC, SMI-DAC?

DMA will need to be figure out, Gert's code might help.

Re: Pi zero development connectivity options

Been busy playing with fpcup installing cross compilers on my Work Windows box. http://wiki.freepascal.org/fpcup Now that I am comfortable using Ultibo for Pi's why not learn how to use fpc for Windows/Linux/Raspbian... With USB boot on Zero's this allows them to be programmable gadgets for PC's. Wh...

Re: Adding System Calls (usage)

Someone really has to work on 36 hour days and longer lifetimes. Yep, I hear you. Now that Garry has given us the great toolset of Ultio many more things are possible even for me to try with my old shrinking brain ;) My only limitation is not enough hours and fading memory. I suspect the memory iss...
