Re: Pascal on Arduino?

Your "FUNCTION" should more properly be "PROCEDURE". Thanks for the correction, I was still in C mode thinking. Keep forgetting Pascal has functions and procedures :D Nested PROCEDURES? Are they needed if predefined prototyped? Anyway, real free pascal on Arduino's could probabl...

Re: Booting from secondary SD card in Pi Zero?

I have only programmed the OTP boot mode option on Pi3B's. The Pi3B+ come with it preprogrammed, both use the BCM2837. Does the Zero(BCM2835) have OTP boot options? Compute module has eMMC and USB modes https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/otpbits.md https://www.raspberrypi...

Pascal on Arduino?

One of the guys on the Pi forum showed me a C #define trick. Since I used Arduino for the Microbit stuff I thought this might be fun. I have used #define lots of times in C but never to make C look like another language. Blink example #define BEGIN { #define END } #define FUNCTION void FUNCTION setu...

Re: eBook reader

This OpenVG stuff works on the Pi 7" screen. https://ultibo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1332&p=9153#p9153 I probably need to make a book reader app to see if this 7" is good enough for text reading. I don't think it will look too good on a lower res screen. The 4" Hyperpixe...

Re: Official TouchScreen - Drawing Graphics

Ok, my clock is a bit oval so I will need to add some scaling for non square pixel screens. What I did this time was copy all the boot files from the latest Pi sources onto a blank 256MB uSD card. https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware Renamed kernel7.img and copied the PunkOS img file, again it ju...

Re: Official TouchScreen - Drawing Graphics

Been meaning to test this for days, only just found the time. I took the latest Raspbian uSD card that was working on the 7" touchscreen. Made a version of my PunkOS code which is OpenVG based. https://ultibo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1269 Renamed the Raspbian kernel7.img, copied the Ul...

Re: Robotics

Always interesting to analyze bots that fail. https://www.designnews.com/electronics-test/lessons-after-failure-anki-robotics/140103493460822?ADTRK=InformaMarkets&elq_mid=8783&elq_cid=670489 Using Yocto, which makes sense, it was one of the better choices at the time. But my feeling is Ultib...

Re: Languages

This one looks interesting https://flix.dev/#/ Will a Java Virtual Machine run in Ultibo? FPC can make java byte code :o http://wiki.freepascal.org/FPC_JVM https://www.freepascal.org/~michael/articles/fpcjvm/fpcjvm.pdf That would mean I need a JVM for baremetal? Is there a JVM written in Free Pascal.
